Why Be Carbon Neutral?

First, carbon emissions are causing extreme rainfall in some regions, severe droughts, and desertification. If we do not reduce our carbon emissions, our resources will become increasingly scarce. Reducing emissions by switching to a sustainable energy source helps save thousands of dollars in fuel costs per year. Being carbon neutral not only helps the environment, it also helps save money on energy costs.

Governments around the world have increasingly purchased sustainable products and services, and business organizations have followed suit. They analyze the various aspects of sustainability, one of the most important is the energy efficiency that a product produces. Therefore, reducing carbon emissions could attract more attention to the product or service offered. Last but not least, the commitment to carbon neutrality shows climate leadership that encourages employees and customers to go green.

What steps has dasFlow taken to become carbon neutral? One of the steps dasFlow has taken is that every time a garment is purchased, 5% of the sale is donated to a charity called "One Tree Planted". With every dollar donated, this charity plants a tree. Each tree improves our air quality, with the average adult tree absorbing 48 pounds of CO2 per year.

Along with planting trees, dasFlow has also been able to reduce its carbon footprint by changing its clothing to a recycled plastic bottle cloth, PES ECCO. The production of plastic resins represents the largest percentage of the footprint of a plastic bottle. Recycling plastic bottles can reduce carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases by 30 to 70 percent. dasFlow is about supporting a lifestyle of life for nature and people. We believe that "our planet is our playground and we have to take care of it." Therefore, we are committed to supporting causes and practices that mitigate our impact on the planet.
